I object to the proposed development in the strongest terms. Melbourne has lost too many buildings to redevelopment.
Please save this iconic price of our history. Some things money can’t buy or replace
I strongly object to the proposed development. The Palace must be heritage protected and left alone and continue to be used as an entertainment venue as it has for many years. Time to stop the greed between developers and councillors. Councillors days are numbered and situations such as the lack of support from Melbourne City Council is further proof.
I strongly object the demolision of this building to be replace by a hotel. It should be protected and still be running as one of Melbourne’s greatest music venues.
the Palace of the people. Anyone of any gender, race and idelolegy can enter its hollowed walls be and be equal to all there.
Turning it into a hotel and it becomes a play ground of the elite only.
Please save the palace.
I object to the demolition of the Palace to be replaced with yet another Hotel – it’s not as though we have insufficient accommodation in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD but we should be saving our heritage buildings and keeping a venue (of which we don’t have so many in the heart of Melbourne) alive and flourishing to keep diversity alive in the CBD.
I strongly object to the proposed development. The Palace must be heritage protected and continue as an entertainment venue for all melbournians and visitors.
It is appalling how the corporate world can be a menacing and tasteless industry at times, The Palace Theatre should be left alone, as it should always be. It’s an iconic piece of Melbourne’s history and a concert-goer’s delight. Our city has a vibrant arts culture that makes it a go to location, The Palace has been responsible for hosting some of the finest musical acts and never fails to disappoint attendees. What does a “luxury” hotel do for you that an iconic music venue can? Pretty sure the answer to that is nothing. Leave The Palace alone and assist in sustaining Melbourne’s renowned music scene.
